Join us live and in person at our new home upstairs at the Tabard Theatre in downtown San José’s San Pedro Square. There is an elevator for those with mobility needs. Sign up list will be open from 6:30 to 6:59pm. Slam starts at 7pm Pacific. https://tabardtheatre.org/

We recommend parking in the ParkSJ garage across the street. The first 90-minutes are free and there is almost always space available. The garage also has an elevator on the southwest corner.

ABOUT OUR FEATURED POET
Kim Johnson is an internationally touring poet who has performed at slam venues, clubs, colleges, festivals and performing arts centers throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe. She was a member of multiple Bay Area national poetry slam teams and represented Bay Area poetry slam venues at several Individual World Poetry Slam and Women of the World Poetry Slam competitions. She coached three San Francisco National Poetry Slam teams and was an Individual World Poetry Slam finalist. She was a poet mentor for Youth Speaks San Francisco and Lyrical Minded SF teaching writing & performance workshops at high schools, foster homes, youth detention centers and mental health facilities throughout the Bay Area.
