T. Lydia McKinney "The Prodigy Truth" is black non-binary performing artist, writer, and domestic violence survivor based in Houston, Texas. They are a poetry slam finalist in both San Antonio (2022, 2023) and Houston, Texas (2022, 2024). T. Lydia attended Texas State University, where they majored in Communication Studies with a minor in Theatre. They previously worked for the State of Texas, having served as a child abuse investigator and support professional for the Texas School for the Blind. T. Lydia now serves a meditative guide and practitioner, full-time writer, and speech and debate consultant. They have been previously published in Querencia Press' Winter 2023 and Trans/ NB anthologies, Spotlight Poetry's Young, Gifted, and Black Anthology, Blunt Space Inc., and When the River Speaks magazine.
